BELFAST, Aug. 10, 2011 (AMP) — Poland Ukraine 2012 (Qualifiers) : Northern Ireland defeated the Faroe islands by a big score of 4-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2012 UEFA European Championship on Wednesday night.
The result put the Irish third in Group C with 9 points. The Faroe islands is bottom with 4 points. In their next game, Northern Ireland will meet Serbia on September 2, while the Faroe islands will face Italy.
