TóRSHAVN, Sep. 2, 2011 (AMP) — Poland Ukraine 2012 (Qualifiers) : Italy defeated the Faroe islands by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2012 UEFA European Championship on Friday night.
The result put the Italians top of Group C with 19 points. The Faroe islands is bottom with 4 points. In their next game, Italy will meet second-placed Slovenia on September 6, while the Faroe islands will face Serbia.
