FLORENCE, Sep. 6, 2011 (AMP) — Poland Ukraine 2012 (Qualifiers) : Italy defeated Slovenia by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2012 UEFA European Championship on Tuesday night.
The result put the Italians top of Group C with 22 points. Slovenia is third with 11 points. In their next game, Italy will meet second-placed Serbia on October 7, while Slovenia will face Serbia.
