Euro 2012 Qualifiers : France beats Albania 3-0

SAINT DENIS, Oct. 7, 2011 (AMP) — Poland Ukraine 2012 (Qualifiers) : France defeated Albania by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2012 UEFA European Championship on Friday night at the Stade de France in Saint Denis.

France dominated the first half thanks to goals from Malouda ('11) and Rémy ('38). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Frenchs further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Réveillère in the 67th minute.

The result put the French top of Group D with 20 points. Albania is 5th with 8 points. In their last game, France will meet second-placed Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Stade de France on October 11, while Albania will face Romania.
