RIGA, Oct. 7, 2011 (AMP) — Poland Ukraine 2012 (Qualifiers) : Latvia defeated Malta by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2012 UEFA European Championship on Friday night.
The result put the Latvians fourth in Group F with 11 points. Malta is bottom with one point. In their last game, Latvia will meet group leaders Croatia on October 11, while Malta will face Israel.
