REYKJAVíK, Sep. 6, 2011 (AMP) — Poland Ukraine 2012 (Qualifiers) : Iceland defeated Cyprus by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2012 UEFA European Championship on Tuesday night.
The result put the Icelander fourth in Group H with 4 points. Cyprus is bottom with 2 points. In their last game, Iceland will meet group leaders Portugal on October 7, while Cyprus will face Denmark.
