Wales beats Northern Ireland to reach Euro quarterfinals
PARIS, Jun. 25, 2016 (AMP) — France 2016 : Wales qualified to the quarter-finals of the 2016 UEFA Euro with a 1-0 win against Northern Ireland (halftime: 0-0) on Saturday night at the Parc des Princes in Paris.
Northern Ireland made the Welshs doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Irish defender Gareth McAuley into his own net in the 75th minute.
