Germany beats Slovakia to reach Euro quarterfinals
VILLENEUVE-D'ASCQ, Jun. 26, 2016 (AMP) — France 2016 : Germany qualified to the quarter-finals of the 2016 UEFA Euro with a 3-0 win against Slovakia (halftime: 2-0) on Sunday night at the Pierre Mauroy Stadium in Villeneuve-d'Ascq.
Germany dominated the first half thanks to goals from Boateng ('8) and Gómez ('43). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Germans further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Draxler in the 63rd minute.
