Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Czech republic beats Netherlands 2-1
PRAGUE, Sep. 9, 2014 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Czech republic defeated the Netherlands by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Tuesday night at the Generali Arena in Prague.
Czech republic dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Dočkal in the 22nd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Czechs further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Pilař in stoppage time.
The result put the Czech second in Group A with 3 points. In their next game, Czech republic will meet Turkey at the Generali Arena on October 10, while the Netherlands will face Kazakhstan.
