Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Czech republic defeats Turkey 2-1
ISTANBUL, Oct. 10, 2014 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Czech republic defeated Turkey by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Friday night at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium in Istanbul.
Bulut opened the score in the 8th minute, before seeing Czech republic catch up in the 15th minute thanks to Sivok. 1-1 at half time. The Czechs eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Dočkal in the 58th minute.
The result put the Czech second in Group A with 6 points. Turkey is bottom with no points. In their next game, Czech republic will meet Kazakhstan at the Sukru Saracoglu Stadium on October 13, while Turkey will face Latvia.
