RIGA, Oct. 13, 2014 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Latvia tied 1-1 with Turkey (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Monday night at the Skonto Stadium in Riga.
No goals in the first half and one each in the second, Šabala ('54 on penalty) for Latvia, Kısa ('47) for Turkey.
The result put the Latvians fourth in Group A with 2 points. Turkey is bottom with one point. In their next game, Latvia will meet third-placed the Netherlands at the Skonto Stadium on November 16, while Turkey will face Kazakhstan.
