Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Netherlands beats Latvia 6-0
AMSTERDAM, Nov. 16, 2014 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : The Netherlands defeated Latvia by a big score of 6-0 (halftime: 3-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Sunday night.
Arjen Robben and Klaas-Jan Huntelaar scored dual goals
The Netherlands dominated the first half thanks to goals from Robin van Persie ('6), Robben ('35) and Huntelaar ('42). Leading 3-0 at the break, the Dutchs further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Bruma '78, Robben '82 and Huntelaar '89).
The result put the Dutch third in Group A with 6 points. Latvia is fourth with 2 points. In their next game, the Netherlands will meet Turkey on March 28, while Latvia will face Czech republic.
