Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Turkey beats Kazakhstan 1-0
ALMATY, Jun. 12, 2015 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Turkey defeated Kazakhstan by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Friday night at the Astana Arena.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with a saving goal by Turkish midfielder Arda Turan with just 7 minutes remaining in regulation time.
The result put the Turk third in Group A with 8 points. Kazakhstan is bottom with one point. In their next game, Turkey will meet Latvia at the Astana Arena on September 3, while Kazakhstan will face Czech republic.
