Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Czech republic beats Kazakhstan 2-1
PLZEň, Sep. 3, 2015 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Czech republic defeated Kazakhstan by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 0-1), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Thursday night at the Doosan Arena in Plzeň.
Škoda scored dual goals
Kazakhstan had started off well by taking the lead in the 21st minute with a goal by Logvinenko. Trailing 1-0 at half time, the Czechs nonetheless manage to reverse the direction of the game by scoring twice in the second period (Škoda '74, '86).
The result put the Czech second in Group A with 16 points. Kazakhstan is bottom with one point. In their next game, Czech republic will meet Latvia at the Doosan Arena on September 6, while Kazakhstan will face Iceland.
