Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Czech republic beats Latvia 2-1
RIGA, Sep. 6, 2015 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Czech republic defeated Latvia by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Sunday night at the Skonto Stadium in Riga.
Czech republic dominated the first half thanks to goals from Limberský ('13) and Darida ('25). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Czechs further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by in the th minute.
The result put the Czech top of Group A with 19 points. Latvia is 5th with 4 points. In their next game, Czech republic will meet third-placed Turkey at the Skonto Stadium on October 10, while Latvia will face Iceland.
