Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Netherlands beats Kazakhstan 2-1
ASTANA, Oct. 10, 2015 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : The Netherlands defeated Kazakhstan by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Saturday night at the Astana Arena.
The Netherlands dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by midfielder Georginio Wijnaldum in the 33rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Dutchs further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Sneijder in the 50th minute.
The result put the Dutch third in Group A with 13 points. Kazakhstan is bottom with 2 points. In their last game, the Netherlands will meet second-placed Czech republic at the Astana Arena on October 13, while Kazakhstan will face Latvia.
