Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Cyprus beats Bosnia and Herzegovina 2-1
ZENICA, Sep. 9, 2014 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Cyprus defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Tuesday night at the Bilino Polje in Zenica.
Christofi scored dual goals
Bosnian forward Vedad Ibisevic opened the score in the 6th minute, before seeing Cyprus catch up in the 45th minute thanks to Christofi. 1-1 at half time. The Cypriots eventually won the game in the second period with with another goal by Christofi in the 73rd minute.
The result put the Cypriot top of Group B with 3 points. In their next game, Cyprus will meet Israel at the Bilino Polje on October 10, while Bosnia and Herzegovina will face Wales.
