Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Bosnia and Herzegovina hold Belgium to 1-1
ZENICA, Oct. 13, 2014 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Bosnia and Herzegovina tied 1-1 with Belgium (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Monday night at the Bilino Polje in Zenica.
The Bosnians started off well by taking the lead thanks to Bosnian forward Edin Džeko in the 28th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Belgium with a saving goal from Belgian midfielder Radja Nainggolan in the 51st minute.
The result put the Belgians third in Group B with 4 points. Bosnia and Herzegovina is 5th with 2 points. In their next game, Belgium will meet group leaders Wales at the Bilino Polje on November 16, while Bosnia and Herzegovina will face Israel.
