Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Israel defeats Bosnia and Herzegovina 3-0
HAIFA, Nov. 16, 2014 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Israel defeated Bosnia and Herzegovina by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Sunday night at the Sammy Ofer Stadium in Haifa.
Israel dominated the first half thanks to goals from Vermouth ('36) and Damari ('45). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Israelians further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Zahavi in the 70th minute.
The result put the Israelians top of Group B with 9 points. Bosnia and Herzegovina is 5th with 2 points. In their next game, Israel will meet second-placed Wales at the Sammy Ofer Stadium on March 28, while Bosnia and Herzegovina will face Andorra.
