Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Belgium beats Cyprus 5-0
BRUSSELS, Mar. 28, 2015 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Belgium defeated Cyprus by a big score of 5-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Saturday night at the King Baudouin Stadium in Brussels.
Marouane Fellaini scored dual goals
Belgium dominated the first half thanks to goals from Fellaini ('21) and Benteke ('35). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Belgians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring three times (Fellaini '66, Hazard '67 and Batshuayi '80).
The result put the Belgians third in Group B with 8 points. Cyprus is fourth with 6 points. In their next game, Belgium will meet second-placed Israel at the King Baudouin Stadium on March 31, while Cyprus will face Andorra.
