Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Wales defeats Israel 3-0
HAIFA, Mar. 28, 2015 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Wales defeated Israel by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Saturday night at the Sammy Ofer Stadium in Haifa.
Gareth Bale scored dual goals
Wales dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by midfielder Aaron Ramsey in the 45th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Welshs further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Bale '50, '77).
The result put the Welsh top of Group B with 11 points. Israel is second with 9 points. In their next game, Wales will meet Belgium at the Sammy Ofer Stadium on June 12, while Israel will face Belgium.
