Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Cyprus beats Andorra 3-1
ANDORRA LA VELLA, Jun. 12, 2015 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Cyprus defeated Andorra by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 2-1), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Friday night at the Estadi Nacional d'Andorra.
Mitidis scored tripple goals
Andorra opened the score in the score in the 2nd minute thanks to Dossa Júnior own goal, before Cyprus regained the advantage with Mitidis ('13, '45). Leading 2-1 at the break, the Cypriots further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Mitidis in the 53rd minute.
The result put the Cypriot third in Group B with 9 points. Andorra is bottom with no points. In their next game, Cyprus will meet group leaders Wales at the Estadi Nacional d'Andorra on September 3, while Andorra will face Israel.
