CARDIFF, Jun. 12, 2015 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Wales defeated Belgium by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Friday night at the Cardiff City Stadium.

All the action happened in the first half, with Welsh midfielder Gareth Bale goal in the 25th minute.

The result put the Welsh top of Group B with 14 points. Belgium is second with 11 points. In their next game, Wales will meet third-placed Cyprus at the Cardiff City Stadium on September 3, while Belgium will face Bosnia and Herzegovina.
