Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Spain beats Macedonia 5-1
VALENCIA, Sep. 8, 2014 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Spain defeated Macedonia by a big score of 5-1 (halftime: 3-1), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Monday night at the Estadi Ciutat de València.
Spain dominated the first half thanks to goals from Ramos ('16 on penalty), Alcácer ('17) and Busquets ('45). Leading 3-1 at the break, the Spaniards further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Silva '50 and Pedro '90).
The result put the Spaniard top of Group C with 3 points. In their next game, Spain will meet second-placed Slovakia at the Estadi Ciutat de València on October 9, while Macedonia will face Luxembourg.
