Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Ukraine beats Luxembourg 3-0
LUXEMBOURG, Nov. 15, 2014 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Ukraine defeated Luxembourg by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Saturday night at the Stade Josy Barthel in Luxembourg.
Yarmolenko scored tripple goals
Ukraine dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Yarmolenko in the 33rd minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Ukrainians further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Yarmolenko '53, '56).
The result put the Ukrainians top of Group C with 9 points. Luxembourg is bottom with one point. In their next game, Ukraine will meet third-placed Spain at the Stade Josy Barthel on March 27, while Luxembourg will face Slovakia.
