Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Belarus beats Macedonia 2-1
SKOPJE, Mar. 27, 2015 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Belarus defeated Macedonia by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-1), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Friday night at the Philip II Arena in Skopje.
Trajkovski opened the score in the 9th minute, before seeing Belarus catch up in the 44th minute thanks to Kalachev. 1-1 at half time. The Belarusians eventually won the game in the second period with with a goal by Kornilenko with just 8 minutes remaining in regulation time.
The result put the Belarusians fourth in Group C with 4 points. Macedonia is 5th with 3 points. In their next game, Belarus will meet second-placed Spain at the Philip II Arena on June 14, while Macedonia will face Slovakia.
