LUXEMBOURG, Sep. 5, 2015 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Luxembourg defeated Macedonia by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Saturday night at the Stade Josy Barthel in Luxembourg.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Thill in stoppage time.
The result put the Luxembourger 5th in Group C with 4 points. Macedonia is bottom with 3 points. In their next game, Luxembourg will meet Belarus at the Stade Josy Barthel on September 8, while Macedonia will face Spain.
