Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Ukraine beats Belarus 3-1
LVIV, Sep. 5, 2015 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Ukraine defeated Belarus by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 3-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Saturday night at the Arena Lviv.
Ukraine dominated the first half thanks to goals from Kravets ('7), Yarmolenko ('30) and Konoplyanka ('40 on penalty). Leading 3-0 at the break, the Ukrainians further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by in the th minute.
The result put the Ukrainians third in Group C with 15 points. Belarus is fourth with 4 points. In their next game, Ukraine will meet group leaders Slovakia at the Arena Lviv on September 8, while Belarus will face Luxembourg.
