Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Belarus beats Luxembourg 2-0
BORISOV, Sep. 8, 2015 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Belarus defeated Luxembourg by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Tuesday night at the Borisov Arena.
Gordeichuk scored dual goals
Belarus dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by Gordeichuk in the 34th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Belarusians further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Gordeichuk in the 62nd minute.
The result put the Belarusians fourth in Group C with 7 points. Luxembourg is 5th with 4 points. In their next game, Belarus will meet second-placed Slovakia at the Borisov Arena on October 9, while Luxembourg will face Spain.
