Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Ukraine beats Macedonia 2-0
SKOPJE, Oct. 9, 2015 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Ukraine defeated Macedonia by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Friday night at the Philip II Arena in Skopje.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with goals by Seleznyov ('59 on penalty) and Kravets ('87).
The result put the Ukrainians second in Group C with 19 points. Macedonia is bottom with 3 points. In their last game, Ukraine will meet group leaders Spain at the Philip II Arena on October 12, while Macedonia will face Belarus.
