DORTMUND, Sep. 7, 2014 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Germany defeated Scotland by a score of 2-1 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Sunday night at the Signal Iduna Park in Dortmund.
Thomas Müller scored dual goals
Germany dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by midfielder Thomas Müller in the 18th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Germans further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Müller in the 70th minute.
The result put the Germans second in Group D with 3 points. In their next game, Germany will meet group leaders Poland at the Signal Iduna Park on October 11, while Scotland will face Georgia.
