Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Poland defeats Gibraltar 7-0
FARO, Sep. 7, 2014 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Poland defeated Gibraltar by a big score of 7-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Sunday night at the Estádio Algarve in Faro.
Robert Lewandowski served up another goal feast
Poland dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by midfielder Kamil Grosicki in the 11th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Poles further widened their lead in the second period by scoring six times (Grosicki '48, Lewandowski '50, '53, '86, '90 and Szukała '58).
The result put the Pole top of Group D with 3 points. In their next game, Poland will meet second-placed Germany at the Estádio Algarve on October 11, while Gibraltar will face Ireland.
