GELSENKIRCHEN, Oct. 14, 2014 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Germany tied 1-1 with Ireland (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Tuesday night at the Veltins-Arena in Gelsenkirchen.
No goals in the first half and one each in the second, Kroos ('71) for Germany, O'Shea ('90) for Ireland.
The result put the Irish second in Group D with 7 points. Germany is fourth with 4 points. In their next game, Ireland will meet third-placed Scotland at the Veltins-Arena on November 14, while Germany will face Gibraltar.
