Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Georgia beats Gibraltar 3-0
FARO, Oct. 14, 2014 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Georgia defeated Gibraltar by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Tuesday night at the Estádio Algarve in Faro.
Georgia dominated the first half thanks to goals from Gelashvili ('9) and Okriashvili ('19). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Georgians further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Kankava in the 69th minute.
The result put the Georgians 5th in Group D with 3 points. Gibraltar is bottom with no points. In their next game, Georgia will meet group leaders Poland at the Estádio Algarve on November 14, while Gibraltar will face Germany.
