Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Scotland beats Gibraltar 6-1
GLASGOW, Mar. 29, 2015 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Scotland defeated Gibraltar by a big score of 6-1 (halftime: 4-1), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Sunday night at Hampden Park in Glasgow.
S. Fletcher scored tripple goals
Scotland dominated the first half thanks to goals from Maloney ('18 on penalty, '34 on penalty), S. Fletcher ('29) and Naismith ('39). Leading 4-1 at the break, the Scots further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (S. Fletcher '77, '90).
The result put the Scot second in Group D with 10 points. Gibraltar is bottom with no points. In their next game, Scotland will meet Ireland at Hampden Park on June 13, while Gibraltar will face Germany.
