Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Germany defeats Gibraltar 7-0
FARO, Jun. 13, 2015 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Germany defeated Gibraltar by a big score of 7-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Saturday night at the Estádio Algarve in Faro.
André Schürrle scored tripple goals
Germany dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by midfielder André Schürrle in the 28th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Germans further widened their lead in the second period by scoring six times (Kruse '47, '81, Gündoğan '51, Bellarabi '57 and Schürrle '65, '71).
The result put the Germans second in Group D with 13 points. Gibraltar is bottom with no points. In their next game, Germany will meet group leaders Poland at the Estádio Algarve on September 4, while Gibraltar will face Ireland.
