Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Ireland draw 1-1 with Scotland
DUBLIN, Jun. 13, 2015 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Ireland tied 1-1 with Scotland (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Saturday night at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin.
The Irishs started off well by taking the lead thanks to Walters in the 38th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Scotland with a saving goal from Irish defender O'Shea into his own net in the 47th minute.
The result put the Scot second in Group D with 11 points. Ireland is fourth with 9 points. In their next game, Scotland will meet Georgia at the Aviva Stadium on September 4, while Ireland will face Gibraltar.
