Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Germany beats Poland 3-1
FRANKFURT, Sep. 4, 2015 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Germany defeated Poland by a score of 3-1 (halftime: 2-1), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Friday night at the Commerzbank-Arena in Frankfurt.
Mario Götze scored dual goals
Germany dominated the first half thanks to goals from Müller ('12) and Götze ('19). Leading 2-1 at the break, the Germans further widened their lead in the second period with another goal by Götze with just 8 minutes remaining in regulation time.
The result put the Germans top of Group D with 16 points. Poland is second with 14 points. In their next game, Germany will meet Scotland at the Commerzbank-Arena on September 7, while Poland will face Gibraltar.
