Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Poland beats Gibraltar 8-1
WARSAW, Sep. 7, 2015 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Poland defeated Gibraltar by a big score of 8-1 (halftime: 4-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Monday night at the Stadion Narodowy in Warsaw.
Kamil Grosicki,Robert Lewandowski and Milik scored dual goals
Poland dominated the first half thanks to goals from Grosicki ('8, '15) and Lewandowski ('18, '29). Leading 4-0 at the break, the Poles further widened their lead in the second period by scoring four times (Milik '56, '72, Błaszczykowski '59/penalty and Kapustka '73).
The result put the Pole second in Group D with 17 points. Gibraltar is bottom with no points. In their next game, Poland will meet Scotland at the Stadion Narodowy on October 8, while Gibraltar will face Georgia.
