SERRAVALLE, Sep. 8, 2014 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Lithuania defeated San Marino by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Monday night at the San Marino Stadium in Serravalle.
All the action happened in the first half, with goals from Matulevičius ('5) and Arvydas Novikovas ('36).
The result put the Lithuanians top of Group E with 3 points. In their next game, Lithuania will meet third-placed Estonia at the San Marino Stadium on October 9, while San Marino will face England.
