VILNIUS, Oct. 9, 2014 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Lithuania defeated Estonia by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Thursday night at the LFF Stadium in Vilnius.
Estonia made the Lithuanians doubt themselves for forty-five minutes. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Mikoliūnas in the 76th minute.
The result put the Lithuanians second in Group E with 6 points. Estonia is third with 3 points. In their next game, Lithuania will meet third-placed Slovenia at the LFF Stadium on October 12, while Estonia will face England.
