TALLINN, Oct. 12, 2014 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : England defeated Estonia by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Sunday night at the A. Le Coq Arena in Tallinn.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by English forward Wayne Rooney in the 74th minute.
The result put the English top of Group E with 9 points. Estonia is fourth with 3 points. In their next game, England will meet third-placed Slovenia at the A. Le Coq Arena on November 15, while Estonia will face San Marino.
