SERRAVALLE, Oct. 14, 2014 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Switzerland defeated San Marino by a big score of 4-0 (halftime: 3-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Tuesday night at the San Marino Stadium in Serravalle.
Haris Seferovic scored dual goals
Switzerland dominated the first half thanks to goals from Seferovic ('10, '23) and Džemaili ('30). Leading 3-0 at the break, the Swisss further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Shaqiri in the 79th minute.
The result put the Swiss fourth in Group E with 3 points. San Marino is bottom with no points. In their next game, Switzerland will meet third-placed Lithuania at the San Marino Stadium on November 15, while San Marino will face Estonia.
