ST. GALLEN, Nov. 15, 2014 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Switzerland defeated Lithuania by a big score of 4-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Saturday night.
Xherdan Shaqiri scored dual goals
45 minutes of play and neither the Swisss nor the Lithuanians have managed to pull ahead. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with goals by Arlauskis ('66 own), Schär ('68) and Shaqiri ('80, '90).
The result put the Swiss second in Group E with 6 points. Lithuania is fourth with 6 points. In their next game, Switzerland will meet Estonia on March 27, while Lithuania will face England.
