Euro 2016 Qualifiers : England beats Lithuania 4-0
LONDON, Mar. 27, 2015 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : England defeated Lithuania by a big score of 4-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Friday night at Wembley Stadium.
England dominated the first half thanks to goals from Rooney ('6) and Welbeck ('45). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Englishs further widened their lead in the second period by scoring twice (Sterling '58 and Kane '73).
The result put the English top of Group E with 15 points. Lithuania is fourth with 6 points. In their next game, England will meet third-placed Slovenia at Wembley Stadium on June 14, while Lithuania will face Switzerland.
