Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Switzerland defeats Estonia 3-0
LUCERNE, Mar. 27, 2015 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Switzerland defeated Estonia by a score of 3-0 (halftime: 2-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Friday night at the Swissporarena in Lucerne.
Switzerland dominated the first half thanks to goals from Schär ('17) and Xhaka ('27). Leading 2-0 at the break, the Swisss further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Seferovic with just 10 minutes remaining in regulation time.
The result put the Swiss second in Group E with 9 points. Estonia is 5th with 4 points. In their next game, Switzerland will meet Lithuania at the Swissporarena on June 14, while Estonia will face San Marino.
