TALLINN, Sep. 5, 2015 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Estonia defeated Lithuania by a score of 1-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Saturday night at the A. Le Coq Arena in Tallinn.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was decided in the second period with a saving goal by Vassiljev in the 71st minute.
The result put the Estonians third in Group E with 10 points. Lithuania is 5th with 6 points. In their next game, Estonia will meet Slovenia at the A. Le Coq Arena on September 8, while Lithuania will face San Marino.
