Euro 2016 Qualifiers : England beats Switzerland 2-0
LONDON, Sep. 8, 2015 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : England defeated Switzerland by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 0-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Tuesday night at Wembley Stadium.
Both teams held off against each other during the first 45 minutes of the game. 0-0 at half time. Everything was settled in the second period with goals by Kane ('67) and Rooney ('84 on penalty).
The result put the English top of Group E with 24 points. Switzerland is second with 15 points. In their next game, England will meet Estonia at Wembley Stadium on October 9, while Switzerland will face San Marino.
