Euro 2016 Qualifiers : England beats Estonia 2-0
LONDON, Oct. 9, 2015 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : England defeated Estonia by a score of 2-0 (halftime: 1-0), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Friday night at Wembley Stadium.
England dominated the first half thanks to a goal scored by forward Theo Walcott in the 45th minute. Leading 1-0 at the break, the Englishs further widened their lead in the second period with a goal by Sterling with just 5 minutes remaining in regulation time.
The result put the English top of Group E with 27 points. Estonia is fourth with 10 points. In their last game, England will meet Lithuania at Wembley Stadium on October 12, while Estonia will face Switzerland.
