Euro 2016 Qualifiers : Finland and Greece tied at 1-1
BERLIN, Oct. 11, 2014 (AMP) — France 2016 (Qualifiers) : Finland tied 1-1 with Greece (halftime: 0-1), in a qualifying game for the 2016 UEFA European Championship on Saturday night at the Berlin Olympic Stadium.
The Greeks started off well by taking the lead thanks to Karelis in the 24th minute. However, even though they were leading 1-0 at half time, they could not prevent a comeback by Finland with a saving goal from Hurme in the 55th minute.
The result put the Finnish second in Group F with 4 points. Greece is 5th with one point. In their next game, Finland will meet third-placed Romania at the Berlin Olympic Stadium on October 14, while Greece will face Northern Ireland.
